This photo shows two women sitting across from each other at a table. The seem to be conversing about something. The black and white helps to stop the photo from becoming too busy. The spacing of everything in nice, and helps with showing the main point. I believe the photo has a type of serenity to it.

What we took away was that it's okay to have a little glare in the photo, and maybe sometimes glass in between you and the subject and that can add a interesting effect to the photo. When looking at the photo of the lunch lady cleaning the table, we can see that it's really a good idea to have something like her arm moving our eyes through the photo. It adds for a good contrast and a good movement pattern thought the photo. As we took photos we learned that people are generally okay with us taking photos of them. As we went along it was easier to ask them and we weren’t afraid of asking them to be in our photos. We figured out that it is more interesting to take photos of people who are doing what they naturally do, in other words not to stage it.
So in our photos we are not going to stage the photo and let them occur naturally because it shows the real world and naturally how it is, not just what it is staged to be. We are going to add a little contrast to our photos and maybe have something in between us and the subjects to add some contrast to our photos. As our last thing we will have stuff that will move our eyes around the photo, so that there is good movement without looking like it was staged. This photo shows an older gentleman with a young man. The prominence of the difference in age is very distinguishable, and it adds a nice emphasis. It also shows the difference in their eras. The feeling it gives off is happiness and fun.
The second photo show a vase of roses surrounded by dead grass and bland colors. The color of the photo adds a nice emphasis to the meaning of the photo. I also believe that the positioning of the roses bring attention to them, but also helps add to the contrast of the world behind them. I think this photo is supposed to represent the difference between life and death. |
