In this photo, a man is walking across a sidewalk. The rule of thirds helps to make the man the man focus. The decisive moment is hard to notice, yet it still has the slight feel to it.

In this photo, two men are getting coffee. I like how he is out of focus slightly. It adds a nice touch to it. The deceive moment was captured a little bit, for the way the two men are standing and their positions really add to the photo. I doesn't seem too busy either.
This photo has nice coloration. It also captures a moment to me, because of the place the man at the car is at. While the man in the back also adds a real vibe to it. The picture has a lot in it, but you don't think about that when you first see it.
This photo shows a woman with her child. I seems as if they are in a hair salon, because of the mirrors and shampoo. I believe that the photo has good spacing. It adds to the emphasis of the photo.
This photo is my favorite. The man in the picture seems to be looking at cupcakes. The bright colors all mix well together, blending beautifully. The photo also catches your attention quite well. It makes me feel light and happy, just like as if I was eating a cupcake.
This photo shows two women sitting across from each other at a table. The seem to be conversing about something. The black and white helps to stop the photo from becoming too busy. The spacing of everything in nice, and helps with showing the main point. I believe the photo has a type of serenity to it.
What we took away was that it's okay to have a little glare in the photo, and maybe sometimes glass in between you and the subject and that can add a interesting effect to the photo. When looking at the photo of the lunch lady cleaning the table, we can see that it's really a good idea to have something like her arm moving our eyes through the photo. It adds for a good contrast and a good movement pattern thought the photo. As we took photos we learned that people are generally okay with us taking photos of them. As we went along it was easier to ask them and we weren’t afraid of asking them to be in our photos. We figured out that it is more interesting to take photos of people who are doing what they naturally do, in other words not to stage it.
So in our photos we are not going to stage the photo and let them occur naturally because it shows the real world and naturally how it is, not just what it is staged to be. We are going to add a little contrast to our photos and maybe have something in between us and the subjects to add some contrast to our photos. As our last thing we will have stuff that will move our eyes around the photo, so that there is good movement without looking like it was staged. |
